The message that follows is from William Windels, a blind computer user. He was unable to file the 'bug report' by himself due to the very difficult to understand audiocaptcha on this site.

I am a blind Mac user and therefore I use VoiceOver, the built-in screenreader of Mac OS X. VoiceOver talks and optionally outputs braille. The application can be launched from every Mac by using Command+F5.

In global: we, as Voiceover users, can't use the mouse. However, Voiceover offers several commands that replace the tasks that are usually performed by mouse actions.

Also, we can't see images without text attributes. I have heard that Firefox should have several accessibility features but, unfortunately, I can't reach any control in the preferences menu. When I visit a webpage, I can't see anything on my braille display, only the title of the page. I can't navigate at all.

It would be great if you should add Voiceover support to the next releases of Firefox. I have tested 3.6.3. There is a tool to test applications for accessibility and, this can also help to test the voiceover support of Firefox. You can see how to test your program for good accessibility with the information on the following website: http://www.cucat.org/consulting/macaccessible/. For free apps, like Firefox, the test is also free. I believe a lot of users should appreciate your efforts to make browsing with Firefox more accessible on the Mac. If you have questions about my question: mail me at: william.windels@telenet.be (controlling websites for information isn't always that simple for me). Thanks a lot for your efforts.

Best regards, William Windels
