If I stop Thunderbird and restart it it comes back. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1.drag mouse across inbox entries 2. 3.
I'm a bit unsure what you are trying to describe - could you maybe provide screenshots ? And steps on what you do would help a lot. Have you tried safe mode? (see https://support.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode for more information)
This happens most often when I drwg the cursor across the inbox entries. The only thing I can do when this happens is to shut down Thunderbird
Right click on the folder where you have the issue select properties and press rebuild index, those issues should go away.
I have an XP machine. It does not happen there. Jim
