Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; en-US; rv:1.9.2.4) Gecko/20100413 Firefox/3.6.4
Whenever I install the Firefox PDF Plugin, Firefox will not restart / start except in safe mode. I have had the problem on Firefox 3.6.3 & now on 3.6.4 Beta too. To fix the problem, I uninstall the add-on, then Firefox works as expected.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Firefox preferences, manage addons, pdf
2.Once installed, hit restart
3.Firefox browser does not restart, except if you restart in SAFE mode
Actual Results:
Firefox would not start
Expected Results:
Firefox should have restarted

What "plugin" is this? acrobat reader? Or an extension? If it is an extension, please report to the extension developers.
Version: unspecified → 3.6 Branch

Sounds like http://code.google.com/p/firefox-mac-pdf/ which allows for preview to show pdfs inline in Firefox.

Yes, Kevin, you are correct, it is the Add-on you mention, which allows you to view PDF's online in Firefox. I am running a MacBook Pro with Snow Leopard, however my wife has a MacBook also with with Snow Leopard & does not have any issues with this add-on.

Issues with addons should be reported to the addon developers.
Do you already tried a new profile http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Managing+profiles
It could be a conflict with other addons.

Firefox works without the extension present. As Matti said problems with the extension should be reported to the extension author.
