User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2) Gecko/20100115 Firefox/3.6 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.3a5pre) Gecko/20100425 Minefield/3.7a5pre When I push on ctrl+b (or cmd+b on Mac) the location bar loses focus. I sometimes push on that shortcut by mistake when I want to paste something in the location. Then I have to either push on ctrl+L or grab the mouse to focus on the location bar again to paste what I was meant to paste the first time. It's not a big deal, but it's one of those small things that really make firefox better. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Location bar focused 2. Push on ctr+b (or cmd+b on mac) Actual Results: Location bar loses focus Expected Results: Location Bar should stay focused This has been tested on 3.6 Win and Mac, and Win 20100425
Just to add I was looking for another way to open the bookmark sidebar but couldn't seem to find any. Then I noticed that the search field in the bookmark bar is automatically focused, which is probably more important than the location bar loosing focus. Although, the search field has already been replaced by the awesome bar. I suppose that most people wouldn't know about the shortcut, so only few power-users would use it? But then I would assume that most power-users would use the awesome bar to find their bookmarks... The search field and the rest of the bookmark sidebar seem a bit redundant to me at this point. Have any changes been planned?
