This allows simpler searches because all the emails of the conversation are automatically tagged. Instead now the user has to remember to tag all new incoming and outgoing emails that belong to the conversation. I think this could be easily implemented using the "references" field in the header Reproducible: Always

TB does need a proper 'conversation' threaded mode.
Messages should be tracked in any folder except Trash (though some clients show Trash messages in a conversation with a strike through, until expunged).

TB threaded mode also doesn't sort correctly [1] - it sorts messages by order/date/recieved of the 1st message in a thread instead of the latest.
This means a new message, which is part of an older thread, does not get moved to the top of the inbox (bottom if you sort down).
So new messages are easily missed.

Be nice if TB had both a proper (multi-folder) conversation threaded mode as well as a proper sorting of threads.

This is pretty much expected now of any modern client.

Thanks!

Hello,
I'm really interested in this. Congratulations already on the work done to improve tags and the tag view in the new TB, in the style of gmail. However, it's true that it's difficult not to have an automatic tag for the conversation mode, you have to put the same tag on the message for each reply and new answer. Making this automatic would make message management more efficient, especially for e-mail addresses used by associations and companies, which require messages to be tagged.
