User-Agent:       Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0; hc; (R1 1.5); .NET CLR 2.0.50727)
Build Identifier: firefox3.6.3

Intermittent.  Not clear what evokes it.
IE always works, same pages.
Just kicked out again.
comcast/isp sez I'm only one seeing it??

Screen goes to just a display of hotlink texts, no
graphics, and is unreponsive.

THIS time seemed to happen after firefox (3.6.3) went into
'i'm comatose and you can't restart me' modes.
Used Task Manager to stop the comatose instance.

Windows 2000.  Is that allowed?

Will 'recover' random number of days/events(?) out.  

Controlled reboot of OS DOES NOT reliably fix.

I THINK I have 'snapshots' of Troubleshooting info, in
run/fail mod.

No listed updates for plugins/etc available.

(Some other sites go mildly weird when firefox gets
'this way', but stay usable.  notably www.gocomics.com
and www.bbc.co.uk.  (bbc goes very weird: page graphics lost,
all hotlinks in column down LH edge)).

(I half suspect changes to sites, BUT:
 IE always works
and
 two sites go weird together.)

If I'm truly the onlyone,then....

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1.www.comcast.net (looks normalish)
2.select email (looks normal)
3.log in (looks normal)
4.  Off to hyperspace...

Looks like 'clear cache' clears it.
Which is  a usable workaround.
Tho IE does not seem to require Clear Cache use...

Reporter, are you still seeing this issue with Firefox 3.6.13 or later in safe mode? If not, please close. These links can help you in your testing.

You can also try to reproduce in Firefox 4 Beta 8 or later, there are many improvements in the new version, http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-beta.html

No reply, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 3.6.13 or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). If you continue to see this issue with the newest firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
