Please wait until processing is complete to get messages." has always been a minor irritant. Last week-end it inhibited the receipt of messages so much that hosts mail system came down. After clearing this, a day later emails not coming through (getting the "This folder is being processed ..." error every time. Web-mail confirmed in-boxes filling up. Downgrading to version 3.0.2. (install over 3.0.4) cleared the problem - instant deluge of messages! Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install 3.0.4. 2. Click receive mail icon Actual Results: The "Folder is being processed ..." Alert No messages downloaded from server Expected Results: messages downloaded from server

Receiving from Exchange via DavMail (mimicing IMAP) is immune from this problem

ludo, did you have a "regression"-type bug in mind? david, does this also fail for you when using v3.1? (if fixed in 3.1, then perhaps bug 466933 regarding the jump from 3.0.2 to 3.0.4, not all that much changed: fixed3.0.4 http://hg.mozilla.org/releases/comm-1.9.1/pushloghtml?startdate=2010-02-27+13%3A18&enddate=2010-03-17+09%3A49 fixed3.0.3 http://hg.mozilla.org/releases/comm-1.9.1/pushloghtml?startdate=2010-02-16+14%3A22&enddate=2010-02-27+13%3A18 And, I hesitate to mention it, but http://gsfn.us/t/pngx list some strange claimed "solutions".

(Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; en-US; rv:1.9.1.9) Gecko/20100722 Eudora/3.0.4) This modal dialogue is a constant and ongoing annoyance. The greatest source of frustration is the never ending series of modal dialogue boxes that need to be attended to manually -- over and over and over. The worst of those is the useless "this folder is being processed" MODAL dialogue that pops up continuously, on window after window. It does nothing of value that I can detect, and you can continue to work, it simply requires that you CLICK it or type return -- for each and every one, over and over. Seriously, I use Eudora OSE with a finger hovering over the 'return' key. I must make that stupid dialogue go away over a hundred times a day. And to add to the annoyance, it moves focus to the window displaying the dialogue. It also, of course, bounces the icon in the dock until you take care of this vitally important modal dialogue. That dialogue could be removed from the program entirely with no loss in functionality, as far as I can see. It would be an IMPROVEMENT. Just get rid of the damn thing -- it does NOTHING except annoy.
