Mozilla refuses to open hotmail( build 2000091312)

Details
On entering user name and password on the site hotmail.com mozilla gives the error
"The connection was refused when attempting to contact
lc8.law5.hotmail.passport.com"
Hotmail tries to establish a secure connection during the login process (watch
the padlock icon during login with NN 4.x). Therefore it doesn´t work with
mozilla unless you install the PSM. Suggesting to resolve as INVALID.
