Details

If Search plugin is installed mozilla stops. 1) mozilla is started. 2) accesses to http://tinderbox.mozilla.org/showbuilds.cgi?tree=SeaMonkey 3) "Add search engines: mozilla.org & Bugzilla & LXR & dmoz.org" Any one is clicked. mozilla stops. http://www.mozilla.org/quality/browser/front-end/testcases/index.html http://www.mozilla.org/quality/smoketests/index.html It seems that there is no test item of search plugin. It is a required test.
The reporter tested with 2000101106-Mtrunk/Win32 on Win95-J. But 2000100908 on Win98 works fine.
search installed?
The reporter said Mozilla hangs if we try to add a search plugin to sidebar. But I can't reproduce it.
can you both test with a new version of mozilla?
I think this bug is talking about adding sidebar panels causing mozilla to freeze. I am not seeing this however..
It seems a hangup happens only with Win95.
KOIKE, are you talking about sidebar panels?
Yes, this is a sidebar problem.
It tried 2000101904-Mtrunk/Win32 on Win95-J Plug-in is installed in a side bar. mozilla stops. error message was not outputted to a console.

Mutsuro-san's comment means Mozilla freezes if he tries to add a sidebar panel. Confirmation dialog doesn't appear.
This is hapenning on Build 2000102404 on WinNT SP4 If I go to the tinderbox page and click on the area which says "Add search engines: mozilla.org & Bugzilla & LXR & dmoz.org" in the Help section, mozilla freezes.
Matt, can you check this out?
Whiteboard: [rtm need info]
Setting bug status to New. Mozilla freezes (I think a hidden modal dialog or something) when you click in the link to add search engines in the right column at the tinderbox page. Tested with 110204 mozilla trunk win32 build.

Is this a bug on the branch or on the trunk?
The result which I tried (Win95-J) 2000110209-MN6/Win32: no problem. 2000110221-Mtrunk/Win32: it freezes.
Removing RTM need info status since this looks like a trunk problem.
