We'd like to be able to publicise add-ons on the what's new page. We therefore think that we need to do two things:

- switch the what's new page to use https
- Allow clicks to links on xpis.

The https part of this work can only be done if/when bug 563057 is completed.

563057 is long fixed. is there someone who can pick this up?
Summary: Thunderbird should use https for the what's new page(s) and allow links to xpis → Thunderbird should use https for the what's new page(s) and allow links to xpis so we can publicise add-ons
