Build Identifier: Lanikai 3.1 Beta 1
When I'm receiving attachment at mail I usually like to save them to local drive. At new Linikai 3.1 Beta 1 the drag and drop is not working when I'm using Total Commander.
I had the same problem after some upgrade in Thunderbird (before it was working fine), after that I installed Shredder and it was working. Then in Shredder I've got problem with getting new updates (http://getsatisfaction.com/mozilla_messaging/topics/nightly_update_for_shredder_will_not_install) so I installed new Lanikai.
But ... I can save files to normal windows file explorer using drag and drop ...

Why would this be a bug in thunderbird and not in Total commander ?

Because it is a regression. Thunderbird 2 was OK in this regard.

Same problem with other file managers (ex: CubicExplorer)
Not working also in the latest version of Thunderbird: 3.1.9

Same problem with file manager Directory Opus V9.5.6.0.3937 x64 - using Thunderbird 5.0 [this did work in the previous version 3.xx]. FWIW, I get an error in Directory Opus that says "An error occurred moving "filename.pdf": The system cannot find the file specified."
It is working with Thunderbird 5.0 and windows 7. So it is ok for me now ;-) As I reported this error I can consider it fixed ;-) Someone can close it
