We are going to repurpose 10 darwin production slaves for the try server. We need to move them from the build network to the sandbox network where the rest of the try slaves are. Please move the following slaves: * moz2-darwin10-slave{41-50} and please rename them as: * try-mac64-slave{01-10}

Any ETA?

According to dmoore, in order for these current slaves to move to the sandbox network, they would need to be relocated to MPT, since they are located here at 650 Castro. ETA would most likely be early next week.

Spoke with phong/jdow, but there isn't any space at the moment to place these machines at MPT, will need to figure out if we can do this at Layer 42 when we move in there.

OK that's fine with me. Do you know if Layer 42 will happen this quarter or the following one? (just to see if I should think of other alternatives in case this becomes more urgent - at this point I can't see it turning urgent in the short/middle time).

I thought all of these darwin10 minis were already at the colo. fwiw, their IPs are in 10.2.90.0/24. If they aren't, can we move 10 other minis to Castro and put these in their place?

Layer42 or some alternate location is wrapped up in an IT Q2 goal.

Most of the darwin10 slaves are at the colo, but slaves 40-50 are at castro.

(In reply to comment #9) > Most of the darwin10 slaves are at the colo, but slaves 40-50 are at castro. I should have thought about that! Which slaves are in MPT that I could make them be part of the sandbox network? I can choose any other subset of the darwin10 slaves. They didn't really have to be slaves 41-50. I just chose those for being at the end of the range.

Machines have been moved in DNS, DHCP and Nagios, as well as relabeled to reflect their new hostnames. The hostnames have also been set in the OS.
