This should indicate that the server name is wrong. Did you double-check that it's exactly what has been specified by the provider? No additional spaces or other characters in the name? Another frequently seen problem is with security software, e.g., firewalls. After updating software, they may require to re-authorize access to the internet. In this case, even a simple server lookup may fail.
