In (shared) dep builds, at least for SeaMonkey, we're intermittently seeing a parallelizing bustage with the signature of:

make[7]: *** No rule to make target `../glue/libmimecthglue_s.a', needed by `libvcard.so'. Stop.

This probably could be fixed making it some way that the interdependent code is never compiled in parallel.
(I fully concur, though I never filed that one.)
