Not sure if Bug 564385 or Bug 564378 are related to this (they don't seem to generate the same result), but after last week's push-and-revert, it seems we don't display any results for search terms including non-ascii characters. STR: 1. Go to http://support.mozilla.com/de 2. In the list of pre-defined search terms, click "Chronik löschen" No results. This is bad because virtually all non-English languages are affected.
I assume in all the rolling back on Friday morning, no one rolled back the Sphinx configs, which means they are still trying to read a UTF8 database. If someone could roll them back to the version in this[1] tag and force a reindex, I assume that will resolve it. [1] http://viewvc.svn.mozilla.org/vc/projects/sumo/tags/1.5/1.5.3_r65201_20100401/
