Please change the thank you video url from <http://bitcast-a.bitgravity.com/mozilla/thankyou/fx35_thankyou.ogv> to <http://videos-cdn.mozilla.net/firefox/3.6/fx35_thankyou.ogv>.
Is this just for emergency mode? Looks like the videos normally come from videos.mozilla.org, which is dm-download02.mozilla.org (18.104.22.168), not the EdgeCast CDN block of IPs. I can verify based on the commit, but don't know how to test/trigger the emergency mode.
no, it's not for emergency. edgecast is cheaper that bitgravity. videos-cdn is not dm-download02.
(In reply to comment #3) > no, it's not for emergency. edgecast is cheaper that bitgravity. videos-cdn > is not dm-download02. If you look at the source of http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/video/, you'll see that videos are still served by dm-download02
I see: <source src="http://videos-cdn.mozilla.net/firefox/3.6/whatsnewin36.ogv" type="video/ogg; codecs="theora, vorbis"" />
Hrm, I think we're all looking at different pages? The change I made only affects 3.5.x firstrun pages, and AFAIK, that's the only place we used bitgravity e.g. http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/3.5.8/firstrun/ That's pulling from videos.m.o currently, and so the emergency version would pull from videos-cdn.mozilla.net. I can change that to be the primary if you like.
EdgeCast is cheaper that Mozilla - should use them full time.
(In reply to comment #7) > EdgeCast is cheaper that Mozilla - should use them full time. Ok, thanks. I'll make that the default, reopening.
