We make a lot of milestones on the AMO team and for each milestone it's convenient to have a saved search in the footer of bugzilla. I usually have 3-4 of these (last milestone, current, and a couple of upcoming). When I do this I have to do another half dozen clicks for each search (and load the giant "saved searches" page) to share the search with the 'everyone' group.

I don't care who sees my saved searches so I would happily choose a "public by default" option.

Or maybe there is a better way to get continuously changing saved searches in everyone's footer?
Rather than creating new saved searches, you should update existing ones. They would automatically be shared with users already using it.
Severity: normal → enhancement
Morphing the bug summary a bit as "everyone" is not a special group.
Summary: Add an option to share saved searches with everyone by default → Add an option to share saved searches with some specific group by default
A lot of our releases happen in parallel though so I couldn't give them relevant names. Unless there is a way to rename searches?
A way to rename searches would help, probably, but wouldn't generally be useful enough, I think, to justify implementing. I'm also not sure that a "share my searches by default" option would be the ideal solution, either. I'll keep this problem in mind and tell you if I come up with any better ideas on how to resolve it.
