User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; WinNT4.0; en-US; m18) Gecko/20001010
BuildID: 2000101014

live365.com opens another window, and it isn't drawn correctly.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click any icon that looks like a speaker. For example, under "editor's
station picks", the first entry is currently "the American Revolution".

Actual Results: A smaller window opens up, which contains a lot of garbage.

Expected Results: A smaller window upens up, which contains, among other
things, the playlist for the "station".
Status: UNCONFIRMED → NEW
Ever confirmed: true
Confirming on build from the tip of the trunk today on Win2k.
With todays branch build on WINNT it patially loads the smaller window. Most of
the content is missing. The smaller window contains a nested frameset document.
Reassigning to pollmann to take a look.

Here's an example of what's in the popup but not showing correctly:

        1. Not possible to set modem speed when you enter first time/doesn't
proceed.
        2. Winamp dosen't play streams, although realplayer has recently (when
I get that far.)
        3. Frame that plays music is destroyed (seems to be more recent)

Live365 is looking better these days. The playlist for the current stream isn't
getting displayed - but that's because they're sniffing mozilla as a netscape
browser and are trying to use a layer for the playlist. Should probably get
reassigned to evangelism. Streaming is working fine via winamp.
this bug occurs in *mac*.
platform and OS status must be changed. (can i change by myself?)
The playlist for the current stream isn't displayed.

Looks like this now works on Win2k (using 0.9.4)
this seems to be working fine now on windows (mozilla and netscape6.2. Anyone on
a mac who can test?
I can't listen because the listening setup doesn't seem to show any buttons when
I first click to listen. I do remember this working on earlier builds, but on
2002011808, it is broken.
This seems to work, but the link to download Player365 from the downloads page
pops open a blank window which soon dissapeares. Btw if unless the problem is
very platform specific you should generally leave platform to all.

download-window openes and does nothing on Linux. Changing summary and setting

Summary: live365.com web site isn't functional → live365.com download broken
Build ID: 2002053012 (Mozilla 1.0)
OS: Windows 2000

Background:

System already had the javascript version of the live365 player installed, using
Netscape 4.72. Installed Mozilla 1.0 and imported Netscape preferences.

Steps to Reproduce:

Attempt to load any live365 station by clicking on a valid link.

Expected:

Station loads in popup window and stream begins to play.

Result:

Player window appears, but loads only partially (playlist and setup icon are
visible). After a second or two, the Listening Wizard window appears, completely
blank. The two windows then appear alternately in an endless loop. I am able to
click the "setup" icon in the player window, and the Listening Wizard window
appears, but the loop does not end. Only killing the window will stop it.

I tried a speaker link without the plugin installed and the listening popup kept
redirecting back and forth to itself endlessly.

I wound like to say that I have no problem opening the popup and listen to the
streaming with Mozilla 1.3.x, 1.4b. It's just under Firebird that the problem
occur.

I frequently listen to the stream at kkjz.org, which uses live365's player. It
appears that this longstanding problem also affects that site's stream, but the
symptoms I see are different (worse) in the latest Mozilla milestone 1.4 load
(Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030624). Here are the new
symptoms and how to reproduct them (observed on Win98SE and WinXP Pro, both
updated with latest Windows Update critical patches)...

1. Make sure that Mozilla's "Block unrequested popup windows"
option is turned off (unchecked) (via
Edit/Preferences/Orivacy & Security/Popup Windows).

2. Navigate to www.kkjz.org.

3. On that page, click the "On Air Now" icon to
go to the "KKJZ Live" page.

4. On that page, click on "Listen (high bandwidth)".
This pops up a new window called "Listen Setup", which
in turn pops up a window called "Listening Wizard".
(Note: if you have done this before, you might have to
delete your cookies, or at least the ones from this
site, to reproduce the following steps exactly.)

5. In the Bandwidth dropdown, choose 128 kbps.
Then click the "Player365" radio button and
then the "Install" button.

6. The Live365 player is then downloaded, but it does
not start or run correctly. Instead, it goes into
an endless loop where the Listening Wizard window
appears briefly, then gets replaced by the player
window, which in turn gets replaced by the Listening
Wizard window again and the loop repeats.

The only way out of this loop is to click the "Close
Window" (X) box on one of these looping windows while
it is up (i.e., ya gotta be quick!).

This works fine for me on the latest firebird build,
actually never mind, now i see the loop window, for some reason it worked once
and started playing fine, but the next station i tried it was doing its death
loop, how irritating.
I also experience the endless loop of death when trying to use the Live365
player. Also, my Live365 station page spits out funny characters after the
description of the station, which makes the page way too wide. You can see this
here:

http://www.live365.com/stations/307573

This happened under Firebird 0.7 and now I'm getting the same behavior in
Firefox 0.8. I am running it under Windows 2000 Professional, SP 4.

This works OK in Camino trunk now; it downloads a playlist file which iTunes can then open and play. I'm going to mark this FIXED.
