Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:188.8.131.52) Gecko/20100401 Firefox/3.6.3 steps to reproduce: 1.Go to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/72199/ expected result: Button says "Download for MACOSX" actual result: Button says "Download for Linux" Other add-ons showing the same behavior: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/78232/
The only platform supported by this add-on is Linux. http://grab.by/4lmN
I think this is confusing for our users. For a user who is on MACOSX,we should not show "Download for Linux" button(which is disabled) at any time. The button should be "Download Now"(disabled) which gives the option to download for Linux in the pop-up box.(Bug 565455) Fligtar, any thoughts?(I'll buy you bubble tea if you agree with me)
I agree in principle but I think this is fine. It's not ambiguous -- we clearly say for Linux and that it's not compatible with the platform, though the popup bug should be fixed.
