Fails to connect to IMAP server and download messages. When attempting download, Thunderbird crashes with following message on the konsole:

DOUBLE-CLICK: 400 --> -1 THRESHOLD: 8 --> -1 LoadPlugin: failed to initialize shared library /usr/lib/jvm/java-1.6.0-openjdk-1.6.0.0.x86_64/jre/lib/amd64/IcedTeaPlugin.so [libxul.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory]
/usr/lib64/thunderbird-3.0.4/run-mozilla.sh: line 131: 21349 Segmentation fault      "$prog" ${1+"$@"}

The files IcedTeaPlugin.so & libxul.so both exist.

There are no problems with POP accounts.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open thunderbird
2.Expand AIM account folder tree
3.Click on inbox (note, automatic downloading of messages disabled, otherwise application crashes immediately)
Actual Results:
Window closed. Error message appears on konsole.

Expected Results:
Downloaded messages from imap.aim.com

useless

we need a stack trace, not a system call trace
Attachment #444977 - Attachment description: output from "strace thunderbird" → useless

Note that if you're using a distro build you actually *must* install the debug symbols for your thunderbird. this means that you *must* follow the instructions that are listed by gdb. if you don't, someone will yell at you. please don't make someone yell at you.

Chris this still lacks symbols can you make sure to install the debug symbols (see http://wiki.mandriva.com/en/Development/Howto/Software_Crash on how to achieve that).
Chris, does this crash still occur for you for version 3.1?
