Moving images in a Google Presentation slide is very slow on Ubuntu. Chromium is ten times faster.
FYI my GPU is a ATI Mobility Radeon X1400.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a Google Presentation and put an image on a slide
2. Try to move the image around the slide. By mouse or keyboard.
3. Try it with Firefox, and then with Google Chromium.
Actual Results:
Firefox gives me 1/4 FPS. I counted them with my Casio clock.
Chromium gives me 5+ FPS I guess. Not more than 10.
Expected Results:
1 FPS.
I tested also on safe mode. Same results.

Try a new profile, http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Managing+profiles, and download and use an official Firefox build
Severity: enhancement → normal
Version: unspecified → 3.6 Branch

With new profile (ubuntu package): 1/3 FPS.
With Firefox 3.6.3 (same than ubuntu package's) from tar.bz (exactly
http://www.mozilla.com/products/download.html?product=firefox-3.6.3&os=linux&lang=en-US
): 1/3 FPS.
So, slightly faster with new profile but far from satisfactory.

Reporter, can you still reproduce using a current version?
If no, please set status to RESOLVED and resolution to WORKSFORME.
If yes, please provide updated information.

Thanks a lot Wayne.
TL;DR: RESOLVED WORKSFORME.
Updated results, at eyesight:
Firefox 22 is giving 5 FPS.
Chromium 28 is giving 10 FPS.
Exact versions:
Firefox 22.0+build2-0ubuntu0.12.04.2
Chromium 28.0.1500.52-0ubuntu1.12.04.2
My GPU is now the integrated graphics of a Core i5-480M. Driver i915.
5 FPS is definitely not "very slow" at least for moving images around while editing a slide.
PS: I'm going to try to find my oldest reported bugs to check if they are still valid ;)
