It would be nice if we can change the hash abbrev in the template and set our own abbreviation, maxlength, title, etc.
maybe: [% Hook.process("columns_attrib") %]
Max, does it sound ok?

This is a good idea for sure.
I think we should just call it before_table, though, and put it right before the table is rendered.
