thunderbird will not duplex print with hp 6500 w officejet printer.  Printer duplexs with other applications and initally worked with thunderbird on earlier version. Hp support could find nothing wrong with printer. The printer will print single sided.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.select message and press print
2.select printer properties and select duplex print
3.printer does not print  
Actual Results:  
had to go back and print single sided

Expected Results:  
should have printed double sided

Yes and I could also print duplex from from thunderbird  but it stopped possible after a version change. I have another source that claimed that version 3.0.4 would not duplex but that seems harde to believe.

I have the same problem with HP Laserjet Laserjet P3015X printer. Tried differrent drivers (PS / PCL). No output and You have to logout/login again to access printer options again.

Thunderbird is version 3.1.10 (german).

Harold do you see this with version 6 or newer?

if you no longer see problem on newer release, please change resolution to WORKSFORME.
if you do see the problem on newer release, please update the bug with details.
