568210 - Minefield hangs when downloading large files

When downloading a large file, when the file reached around 300-400MB downloaded, Firefox would lock up every time. When doing anything else, I have yet to see the issue occur. It spikes to 50% CPU usage (Due to single core utilization) and locks up beyond the crash reporter's control. 

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Begin downloading a large file (~1GB)
2. Wait for it to reach 300-400MB
Actual Results:  
Firefox locked up completely.

Expected Results:  
Not locked up.

Clearing out closeme, here, since Asher recently encountered a similar problem.

Ash - this was reported on Windows 7 - is that were you were, too, or is this cross-platform?

this was on mac-osx.  i did however attempt this again with many addons disabled and this worked.
