Right now there is no drop down where you can format text as different headings. You have to switch to the HTML view and enter the headings there manually.
Please give us such an option in the editor header pane.

Ah! So, it is available, but the "kitchen sink" is disabled by default. To get to extra formatting options, click on the "Show/Hide Kitchen Sink" button on the far right of the toolbar on top of post area.

Can we enable it per default? Will it be sticky for the user?

It'll be sticky for the user once you enable it the first time through :).

This is working now, it's just set to disabled by default. Once you open it the first time, it'll be open from then on.
