Pressing Command-w no longer close a window, but now leaves a window with a blank tab.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Press Command-w
2.

Actual Results:  
Closes Tab and open a new one. Does not close entire window.

Expected Results:  
Window or progressive windows to close and nothing opening.
Reporter, are you still seeing this issue with Firefox 3.6.13 or later in safe mode? If not, please close. These links can help you in your testing.

The key commands work as they should. No additional operations, i.e., additional windows opening as others close, are happening in conjunction with this action.
