Clicking on other message and clicking back to the previously displayed message, it shows Ok. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Display a message with LATIN characters in the Message Pane 2. Go to View > Layout and pick a different view 3. Look at the message pane and see LATIN characters displaying incorrectly Actual Results: LATIN characters displaying incorrectly Expected Results: LATIN characters displaying as it was showing before HTML mail message
Can you provide screenshots ? Have you tried safe mode? (see https://support.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode for more information)
Severity: minor → normal
Component: Message Reader UI → Mail Window Front End
QA Contact: message-reader → front-end
No matter the which layout are you on or change to, all the test cases will fail.
Also, had no luck running on safe mode. By the way, there are no extensions installed and just the plugins below: Adobe Acrobat Google Update Java Deployment Toolkit Java Platform SE Shockwave Flash Shockwave for Director Silverlight Windows Activation
This is WFM on Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.2.4) Gecko/20100608 Thunderbird/3.1 Aureliano can you double check on Windows ?
Attached file testcase
Yes I can confirm that with attached testcase and STR: 1. start TB with classic view and message preview enabled. 2. select testcase message (for example drag it in your draft folder on local folders) and the select vertical view: at this point the encoding is wrong. For reset the issue you need to select another folder and then select draft folder again. My draft folder is UTF-8 encoded. Anyway for me this is a dupe of bug #265393 Feel free to reopen it if I'm wrong. ;-)
