Currently we have a mishmash of names on different platforms -- shell, avmshell, avmplus, etc... sometimes with a wart on the end to indicate debug/debugger status. IMHO we should unify all these to something common and predictable; in past discussions, avm[.exe] seems to be the preferred name (though there's some question as to whether 64-bit builds should be separate and if so, should they be "avm64" or not). Opening bug to track discussion (and also inevitable impact on build/test systems).
