No.  The Windows 7 crash reporter shows up.

Hmm... I know computers well and those instructions are not straight-forward.  I looked in the Crash Report folder, and there are "InstallTime..." files with just a number inside.  Given that, what is the best way for me to capture the stack trace in Windows 7?

it must be a *hang* stacktrace (not crash stacktrace), so see https://developer.mozilla.org/en/How_to_get_a_stacktrace_with_WinDbg for greater detail (which is mentioned in the cited link of comment 4)

karen, please try v3.1. if you can still reproduce we need steps to reproduce and hang stacktrace
