Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.6) Gecko/20091201 Firefox/3.5.6 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.6) Gecko/20091201 Firefox/3.5.6 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) Attempting to view page source on a "reported attack site", in an attempt to see for oneself what is so dangerous and decide whether to ignore and proceed, yields the "reported attack site" message in the source viewing window. Not only is this message's presence a bug in itself, the message cannot be dismissed; the "ignore" link does nothing. There seems to be a kludgey workaround in the view-source: protocol, but this fact is completely opaque to most users, and does not diminish the fact that this is undesirable behavior which may put users at risk. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Navigate to a reported attack site. 2. Ctrl+U 3. (Optional) Click "Ignore this warning", observe the lack of results. Actual Results: As stated, yields the "reported attack site" message in the source viewing window, which cannot be dismissed or bypassed by readily apparent means. Expected Results: Being able to view the page source, same as any other page.
Use view-source:http://www.example.com till Firefox 4 has this fix.
