Please remove this campaign page on Mozilla.org (http://www.mozilla.org/causes/onewebday/). We do not need to collect donations for this project anymore. OneWebDay has become a part of Mozilla Drumbeat as per this announcement: http://onewebday.org/2010/04/06/onewebday-joins-forces-with-mozilla-drumbeat-%E2%80%93-364-extra-days-to-build-an-open-web/ While we're removing this campaign, are there other campaigns we should also remove?
Re other campaigns, the list of content remaining in the Causes directory is at http://viewvc.svn.mozilla.org/vc/projects/mozilla.org/trunk/causes/ This includes the What is an open web?, Service Week and Universal Subtitles pages. Not sure which of these are still active and if not where to repoint those links.
Universal Subtitles is still active, so let's keep that please. Service week leads to OWD, correct? I would redirect that to Drumbeat. Let me know if we need copy changes for that. What is an open web can stay as well.
Re the OneWebDay redirect there is some strangeness going on with the htaccess file. The URL I'm putting in is not the one coming out and it's pointing to a 404 error page on the onewebday.org site. In .htaccess: http://onewebday.org/2010/04/06/onewebday-joins-forces-with-mozilla-drumbeat-%E2%80%93-364-extra-days-to-build-an-open-web/ Redirected to: http://onewebday.org/2010/04/06/onewebday-joins-forces-with-mozilla-drumbeat-%25E203-364-extra-days-to-build-an-open-web/ Something with the excessive hyphens in the URL is confusing something. I'll link to Mark's blog post instead.
Re comment #2, I won't touch Universal Subtitles or What is open? for now, but we should revisit when those campaigns are done. For Service Week, if we redirect that then there's no need to update copy since the pages will be gone. To confirm, the Service Week directory also includes the Internet Health Check and Digital Marketing Templates. Are those worth keeping or is there equivalent content somewhere else?
As far as I know there isn't equivalent content elsewhere. Also, having looked at it again, there's no content on there asking for donations for OWD, so I think it's fine to leave it for now. What do you think?
The OneWebDay directory is now removed: http://viewvc.svn.mozilla.org/vc?view=revision&revision=68497 Because of the way the repository works with the server, deleted pages aren't removed from the site until the following day. Please confirm the OWD donate page is gone tomorrow. Re comment #5, sure, fine to leave the Service Week stuff up for now. In general I'd prefer to not have abandoned pages on the site but we can worry about it later.
I'm wrong about my last comment (was thinking of old build system). Removed pages should show up as removed pretty quickly now.
Checked and it's all good. Thanks!

Reopening since there are still some campaigns that are currently active that may need to be removed or moved after they are over.

Would you rather we filed bugs for them one at a time or just keep this one open indefinitely?
It doesn't matter to me. If you'd rather have separate bugs, that's fine. In general though, I think that the Open, Service Week and Subtitles pages should be the last campaigns we need to sort out this way if we build in what to do with finished pages into the initial planning stages.
Depends on: 604209
I'd like to track taking down campaigns through individual bugs, like we have been with Lanikai and others. Closing this bug in reflection of that.
