User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.3) Gecko/20100401 Firefox/3.6.3 GTB7.0 ( .NET CLR 3.5.30729) Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.3) Gecko/20100401 Firefox/3.6.3 GTB7.0 ( .NET CLR 3.5.30729) Place cursor over any button in toolbar, menu bar or bookmarks bar. Tooltip text will appear as expected, but will disappear after only a second making text impossible to read. This problem was reported in previous release, I believe. I think it was resolved. Well, I think it's back. Reproducible: Always Expected Results: Display the tooltip as long as the cursor remains over the mouse or at least for 10 seconds or so. I didn't notice this for a while after I installed 3.6.3 so I don't know if I just didn't notice it or maybe it was working correctly and then broke again. Thx.
Correction: Expected Results: Display the tooltip as long as the cursor remains over the "button" or at least for 10 seconds or so.
Works for me - Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.2.4) Gecko/20100609 Firefox/3.6.4 The text should not disappear as long as the pointer does not move. Please check Firefox's safe mode and/or a new profile as outlined in https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Basic+troubleshooting
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.3) Gecko/20100401 Firefox/3.6.3 Works for me. The tooltip doesn't disappear until you move 7 pixels, so even a slight move of your mouse shouldn't remove the tooltip. There used to be a 5 second timer, but that was removed in bug 395668. So I don't understand why you see that behavior. Are you sure it's not caused by one of your extensions ?
This is most likely caused by the google toolbar. If I had to take a guess.
Thx. for responses--will try your suggestions and get back.
