when i launch the URL, i notice it opens a new browser window with the site. if i close that second window, i get the crash on the original window. See screenshot Unfortunately, no crash signature thrown. My environment: - Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; en-US; rv:1.9.3a6pre) Gecko/20100611 Minefield/3.7a6pre - Java Plug-In 2 for NPAPI Browsers File: JavaPlugin2_NPAPI.plugin Version: 13.2.0 Java Plug-In 2 for NPAPI Browsers Repro: 1) install trunk build 2) visit URL java clock testcase 3) Verify it loads a second window with the same site. close that window, and notice the crash message on the first window like the screenshot Expected: - clock loads correctly without crashing

Tested on Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; en-US; rv:1.9.3a5pre) Gecko/20100610 Minefield/3.7a5pre with JavaPlugin2_NPAPI.plugin 13.2.0 -- If I close the window that actually loads the Java Clock (primary window) I do not get a crash, but I get the same crash in comment #0 if I close the second instantiated window.
Are you sure that the new "window" really is a window? What I get is a new icon in the dock, the Minefield icon. This is the plugin process, which is running the plugins. If it is killed, that will also kill your running plugins. So, if that is the case, the issue is really about not displaying a second dock icon for the plugin process.

The new process is expected. The dock icon is not but that is currently know as bug 557225. If the crash only happens when forcing the plugin-container to close then there is no problem.

I can't get it crash any other way, so I think this is invalid. Marking as such - if there is some way to reproduce the crash without killing the second dock icon, please reopen.
