User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.2.3) Gecko/20100423 Ubuntu/10.04 (lucid) Firefox/3.6.3 Build Identifier: Do not know I recently installed a new hard drive in my Dell Latitude D600. I have it dual booted with Windows XP and Ubuntu 10.04. I then downloaded and installed Thunderbird from the Synaptic Package Manager. When I open Thunderbird the Account Setup window is empty. Also, the Help dropdown window is empty as is the File > New window. Edit > Select and Find windows are also blank. Several of my "expert" friends are stumpped. One suggests that mozilla "chrome" is missing but I do know know what that is. I have removed and reinstalled Thunderbird several times to no avail. I have a desktop with Ubuntu 10.04 installed and the Thunderbird installation works great. Reproducible: Always Actual Results: Nothing I have tried corrects the problem. It has been suggested that I remove Thunderbird and install an older version but I do not know how to do that.
Boyd, were you on version 3.0.something? has this problem resolved itself?
