Using XP

I would like a right click option to remove away nicks on custom away messages drop down list because it's way too complicated trying to find the awaymsg.txt file to edit.  I am not finding it, period.  It doesn't seem to exist.

no right click option to remove away nickname

Expected Results:  
would like a "delete" option... highlight nick to delete, select delete


This does not appear to be a right click option and is not editable via Global Settings.

The away nickname is editable in the ChatZilla Preferences, either in "Global Settings => General => Identification => Nickname (away)", or in "<network name> => General => Identification => Nickname (away)". Try the former, then check whether the latter has followed (and if it hasn't, change it there too).

Unfortunately the bug summary isn't strictly accurate AFAICT; the reporter wants to remove entries from the history of away messages you see if you click the nickname button (bottom-left of window). Updated summary to better match comment #0.

Thank you, James, you have the correct spot.  Logically, there should be no retained history of custom away messages - otherwise it should be possible to delete them easily.
