Hello,

I couldn't get lightning configured correctly to connect to our zimbra server, for whatever reason. So, I decided to leave it alone for awhile, and take another look some other time. lightning decided that since the server was not responding as it desired, that it should beat the living daylights out of it. As a result, it put 13G of logs, and 5.3 million requests to the server in one day.

It might be good to fix that.

Reproducible: Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
1. install lightning
2. configured lightning, but didn't work.
3. lightning hammers the server

Expected Results:
delay between retries.
I believe this is fixed in the latest nightlies. Could you retest with 1.0b2rc2 ?
See
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/calendar/lightning/releases/1.0b2rc2/
I'll see if I can take a look tomorrow.
It says it's not compatible with thunderbird 3.0.4. I compiled it myself as well, and no go.
Trenton, the beta2 is only available for Thunderbird 3.1 RC2 and later. So you'll have to try that one out as well.
Philipp is probably referring to Bug 435854 that is fixed with Lightning 1.0b2.
Stefan, that sounds like the one I'm talking about. When is that version going to be available for download through thunderbird 3.0.4?

Thanks.

It won't. Lightning 1.0b2 is available only for thunderbird 3.1
