Google Search after installed new Firefox pulls up "download new version of Firefox"page

When I search anything or go to google web-page it re-directs me to download and install the new version of Firefox when i already had several times.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.go to google page or search in tolbar
2.web-page redirects you imediately/search something in the toolbar
3.automatically redirected
Actual Results:
redirected to download and install Firefox page
Expected Results:
search for what i wanted to search or go to the web-page
any theme including the default does it
it also causes it to go the the "update and install new Firefox version" in Safari

Please check your OS settings. Looks like a proxy is serving that page for all kind of browsers installed on your system. This doesn't sound like a Firefox bug.

how do i do that? it started happening to ALL browsers on my iMac after i installed the new version of firefox.

how do i do that? it started happening to ALL browsers on my iMac after i installed the new version of firefox.
it also only happens to goolge search it works with all other toolbar searches. but it did ask me to do something for a certificate with the first google related thing i did.

Where have you downloaded this Firefox version?

No reply, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 3.6.x or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). If you continue to see this issue with the newest firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
