so far this is very mysterious but is a serious problem. Images, css etc are returning 404s from the server. Some people are seeing the images while others are not.
The images that aren't appearing for people appear to be ones that I uploaded Friday as admin. Images that were uploaded BEFORE we switched to the new infrastructure appear to be fine. Not sure if that helps!
Just a shot idea, my two cents. I read you changed your hardware infrastructure... Was it combined with an IP change, so DNS propagation? This can explain why some ppl are seeing the images some one not. My rough guess is that you need to change permissions or ownership of the files, it's pretty typical in file migration with drupal. Be sure the webserver owns them all.
