i'm using a custom download folder, but everytime my firefox gets updated, the default download folder gets reset to desktop. as far as i can tell, i'm using no addons (i.e. download managers) that might have influence on the download folder.

May be Bug 574253 - Firefox 3.6.4 fails to save last download directory if clear browser history is set.
