User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10_6_4; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.16 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0 Safari/533.16

I have configured a proxy for http traffic on my Mac. For certain networks/domains I have to bypass this proxy (for example VirtualBox hosts/internal networks) and I have therefore configured to exclude certain domains for the proxy.

When Firefox is configured to use the system proxy, it ignores the "Bypass proxy settings for these Hosts & Domains" (specified in the advanced network settings) and it tries to route the traffic for the specified hosts and domains through the proxy.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Configure your Mac Advanced Network Settings to use a proxy and exclude some domains/hosts in "Bypass proxy settings for these Hosts"
2. Configure Firefox to use the system proxy
3. Browse to an excluded domain/host
Actual Results:
Traffic is still routed through the proxy

Expected Results:
Traffic for excluded domains/hosts should not be routed via the proxy

Are you putting in explicit address? Like 172.19.1.10, or you are doing 172.19/16. In our company, we find the former works fine, but the later does not work.

I used the latter
192.168.56/24

Same problem here. My system proxy settings ignores "localhost", Firefox doesn't.
his seems to come up in enterprise scenario.

The expectation is that if you set values in the "exclude" list, they should be excluded for "use system proxy" as well.

I believe this has been fixed by other work. Can you check?

Note that we've made other changes around localhost

I think so, can't reproduce it anymore

Thanks!

Seems that now ability to proxy localhost is completely destroyed. Very sad, I've used it before the latest update. Requests to localhost are done without proxy regardless of clearing "No proxy for" setting.
