575015 - FF 3.6.4 slows down when going to sites with Flash, due to plugin-container.exe

When I go to sites with Flash, such as YouTube, my entire browser slows down, not freeze, but slows down, the problem is plugin-container.exe, it is eating up too much memory, I know the function of plugin-container.exe is to keep FF running even if a plugin crashes, but what the use if it slows down the broswer?

I've disabled plugin-container.exe from running using about:config as described here: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?p=9532523&sid=6cbf5c9288c1c1568f027841d4532409

The results from disabling plugin-container.exe is that my browser is working better without plugin-container.exe, and I can watch YouTube better with slowing down...

If Mozilla intends on using "plugin-container.exe" in future FFs, then Mozilla needs to fix "plugin-container.exe" so it won't slow down the browser...

Please provide steps to reproduce that are working. Working means that I can reproduce the error on my system with a fresh Firefox installation and the newest Flash version.
Issues posted at the support are usually put into bugzilla if there are clear steps to reproduce. 
Do you already tried the basic troubleshooting including the safemode, a new profile ?
What's your used flash version ?

Youtube is wfm with 3.6.4, flash 10.1 r53 on win32

Same here, running on Ubuntu 10.04 with kernel generic-pae. In my case, this thing happends several times when visiting http://www.ossblog.it

Yes I also had the same problem and the questioner has asked what I want to.
I used latest firefox 3.6.8, flash 10.1, tried in safemode, created new profile, did a fresh install but its same.
Disabling dom.ipc.plugins.enabled in about:config also worked for me and I can use flash w'out any slow downs or crashes.

I also noticed that same plugin-container.exe is there in firefox 4.02 beta program and the above trick worked in that version also.

Thats why its our humble request who are facing the same problem since many months that, pleaseee do something with the plugin-container plugin.  It's creating firefox a real **** and pushing it backward in performance and competition.

That is an unhelpful, cryptical comment that requires knowing what a "whiteboard" in Bugzilla is. "Closing as INCOMPLETE because reporter provided no feedback to the question asked in a previous comment" would be helpful at least, plus maybe "please reopen if you can answer the question and if this still happens in a recent, supported version".
