User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.6) Gecko/20100625 Firefox/3.6.6 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.6) Gecko/20100625 Firefox/3.6.6 I was prompted to update my former version of firefox to the new 3.6.4 on June 26. As soon as it updated to 3.6.4, I lost all ability to load flash apps and photos that previously showed up fine became fuzzy. I get a Red X on flash required myspace apps that used to load perfectly prior to the update, although other areas of the apps which do not require flash to play work fine. None of the flash required apps load properly. I have uninstalled and reinstalled adobe flash player plug ins endlessly and continue to have the same issue. I have tried updating from the Adobe site, with no results. Happy Aquarium app on myspace produced a page that stated I needed to upgrade the flash player, which I have done and still get nothing. I was also prompted to update java. I have even visited "The Adobe Flash plugin has crashed" and increase the timeout as indicated in the knowledge base article, and this did not work even after updating again to 3.6.6. I have also lost my add on NoScript soon after the update was complete. Reproducible: Didn't try

Do you see flash in about:plugins (enter as URL) and which version ? Do you already tried http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode already ?

(In reply to comment #1) > Do you see flash in about:plugins (enter as URL) and which version ? > Do you already tried http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode already ? I do not see "flash" in about:plugins. I believe I got the flawed update from Adobe that has a patch that came out today, I'm trying to install it from Cnet now. Why they don't test these updates before they release them is beyond me. I've been researching the issue all day, and it seems that there are many people having the same problem with the recent Adobe flash updates. However, I do see these in my About:plugin section Plug-ins (14) Details Google Gears 0.5.33.0 - Version: 0.5.33.0 Description: These are the Gears that power the tubes! :-) Location: C:\Documents and Settings\Ophelia\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\Application\5.0.375.86\gears.dll MIME types: MIME type Description File extensions application/x-googlegears . Why do we pickup this plugin ?
Is there a difference between the gcswf32.dll and the npswf32.dll ?

I have no idea. I just installed the Google Chrome today as a suggestion to see if it was indeed a firefox issue and if I had the flash problem using chrome. Seems it is not just firefox, I cannot get flash to work in Chrome either. I'm definitely no techie, so not sure what to do. I am trying to install the patch for the bad version of Adobe Flash player now, its still installing. If that does not work, then I just give up.

You can go to http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/ to see if you can find updated plugins, also try uninstalling old versions first before updating.

(In reply to Phoenix from comment #6) > Resolved per whiteboard That is an unhelpful, cryptical comment that requires knowing what a "whiteboard" in Bugzilla is. "Closing as INCOMPLETE because reporter provided no feedback to the question asked in a previous comment" would be helpful at least, plus maybe "please reopen if you can answer the question and if this still happens in a recent, supported version".
