Pre-condition:
* Not in "Work Offline" mode
* Not connected to the internet

If Firefox is already displaying a page, refresh that page.

Firefox is now displaying "Page not found".

EXPECTED RESULTS:
*** There should be an option on the "Page not found" page to display a cached version of the page if there is one. ***

Also, Firefox should not enter offline mode ever and instead make it easy to display a cached version if the page is ever not found.

Currently available hacks to display a cached version of the page:

1. Go back, go forward.
Now a cached version of the page is displayed if available!

2. Close the tab, and immediately undo closed tab.
Now a cached version of the page is displayed if available!

Synonyms of 'display' for easier bugzilla searching: show, shown
Why is this a core networking issue? Necko provides all the APIs that are needed here... Sounds like your real problem is with the UI the error page presents?

Over to docshell, but this might be a pure UI issue.
