In Eudora 8.0b9, after clicking on "Show remote content" for an incoming email message, I got a message window telling me about an invalid security certificate. Every time I clicked on "Cancel", the same message window returned. Even worse, after leaving Eudora by Force Quit and opening it again, the message window returned and was persistent in its behaviour. I had to save and next delete the email message in a complicated way in order to resume using Eudora in an ordinary way.

Reproducible: Didn't try
Penelope didn't see any activity in the vcs for the last 8 years, closing.
