I recently tried to move as much of Firefox' windows into the main window by using chrome:// pages. This works great for Places and Downloads, but loading chrome://browser/content/preferences/preferences.xul (main Preferences UI) results in the main browser window to be resized to a smaller size (a mazimized window will be just the size of the prefs dialog).

If the prefs will be moved into the main window for 4.0, feel free to close as obsolete, of this will not happen for 4.0, a workaround would be great.
No longer relevant with in-tab preferences.
