User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10_6_4; fr-fr) AppleWebKit/533.16 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0 Safari/533.16 Build Identifier: Version 2.0.3 (1.9.0.19 2010051911) When I want to screen zoom in on a part of a webpage (without resizing any of its elements) the whole page is resized (fonts, images, frames...) creating a big mess. I do not want my browser zoom settings to change, I just want to be able to perform normal mouse operated ctrl-zooms on webpages. I have the latest Intel Mac and the latest bluetooth mouse. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Go on facebook or any website 2.Click control and zoom with the mouse (finger on the mouse moves forward rapidly) 3.The page sometimes zooms in, sometimes not, but whole webpage becomes a mess in terms of font sizes and objects Actual Results: The browser makes the elements of the webpage bigger (fonts, images) but i do not actually zoom into the screen like I would be able to do with any other application. Expected Results: I am expecting to zoom in the screen image without changing any of the font size settings (which are extremely difficult to reset to defaults by mouse operation and very long)
Camino (and Firefox) has a built 'scrollwheel zoom' that use the same shortcut (press control and scroll the wheel on the mouse) as the system level defined one (which is what you use, if I understand correctly). However, it is my understanding that the system defined one takes precedence over the Camino one. That is how it works on my machines. I don't have the latest magic mouse though. In your case, the reverse seems to happen (the Camino gesture takes precedence over the system one).
Thank you Philippe. You are understanding the problem correctly. I am not finding a way in the preferences of Camino to disable this scrollwheel zoom you are talking about. The two zooms are still interfering. Let me know what can be done.
