when dragging a link to empty place on the tab bar, a new tab will not open and a blue arrow will stay on the tab bar until restart of the browser.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.drag a link to an empty place on the tab bar

Actual Results:
a new tab with the link open will not open, blue arrow will stay on screen

Expected Results:
minefield should have opened a new tab with the link.
Do you have tabs on top? Can you also see it in Firefox 3.6? Are you have any add-ons installed? You should try to run in safe mode (http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe Mode).
Version: unspecified → Trunk
the problem still reproduces with tabs on bottom & safe mode.
but, when dragging the link to the left, the tab opens.
works perfectly in 3.6
Would you be able to create a short screencast which shows this behavior? I really can't reproduce it on Windows 7.
You cant really see in the screencast, but i let go of the mouse button once i am on the tab bar.

oh, and the problem still reproduces in tabs on bottom.
I wonder if any user pref is causing this problem. Can you please re-run your test in a fresh profil (http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Managing+profiles)?
created a new profile, still doesn't work.
Can you open about:config and enable javascript.options.strict? Do you see any error in the error console?

You should test with Developer Preview 1 (3.7a1) and check if it is also present. Then could you also test with older trunk nightly builds to check for the regression range? That would be really helpful. Thanks!

Was unable to reproduce issue.
This bug is fixed in Firefox 8.0
It is somehow fixed on Firefox 8.0 @Win7 x64, but *not* waterproof. *Sometimes* the new behavior (open a new tab immediately) does not work and the arrow stays. It disappears if that bookmark is pulled again.
Can you reproduce with current version?
