I often can't use my computer at all unless I fool around with System Restore for an hour.

For about two weeks, when I try to connect to the internet, I get:" Firefox can't find the server at www.rr.com " (I have a broadband connection to RoadRunner.)The only way I can connect is to use the Windows System Restore program and try random restoration dates until one works.  

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Just try to connect to the internet. Maybe it will, maybe it won't.

Sounds like either a problem with your hosts file, malware, or your DNS server. Does this happen with IE?

This doesn't really sound like a Firefox bug to me.

Reporter -> Are you still experiencing this issue? Have you tried safe mode or a new profile?
Have you tried safe mode, a new profile, IE?
Also, can you connect to your router, (usually 192.168.0.1)
