I often can't use my computer at all unless I fool around with System Restore for an hour.

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.9) Gecko/20100315 Firefox/3.5.10 ( .NET CLR 3.5.30729)
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.9) Gecko/20100315 Firefox/3.5.10 ( .NET CLR 3.5.30729)

For about two weeks, when I try to connect to the internet, I get:" Firefox can't find the server at www.rr.com " (I have a broadband connection to RoadRunner.)The only way I can connect is to use the Windows System Restore program and try random restoration dates until one works.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Just try to connect to the internet. Maybe it will, maybe it won't.
2.
3.
Sounds like either a problem with your hosts file, malware, or your DNS server. Does this happen with IE?

This doesn't really sound like a Firefox bug to me.

Have you tried safe mode, a new profile, IE?
Also, can you connect to your router, (usually 192.168.0.1)
