2. Install Fennec
3. Run Fennec (or fennec -P from XTerminal)

No exceptions.

Fennec 2.0a1 Qt from

Some followup fixes in bug 568691 landed on 2010-07-02 which might fix this. See:

Test with a new nightly and let us know if it's fixed

Thanks a lot.

Now I installed 20100703010539 from
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/mobile/repos/trunk_en-US/dists/fremantle-qt/extras/binary-armel/

The profile manager hasn't changed at all (Reproducible: always; how: fennec -P).

Uncaught exception in sync on Fennec startup, but in another .js file (Reproducible: always; how: fennec).

Extension still cannot be installed by clicking on .xpi; Fennec simply ignores it (Reproducible: always; how: start fennec, open a folder with .xpi, click .xpi;).

"Disabled" theme for Fennec 1.1 is actively used by Fennec 2.0 (Reproducible: always; how: get fennec 1.1, install a theme and disable it, install fennec 2.0, the theme is always used, except for safe mode).

Clicking New Tab button gives errors in Error Console, though the button works as intended (Reproducible: always; though button without image is difficult to click).

In safe mode with default theme I cannot see New Tab button at all.

How to crash: start Fennec, click address bar, type two letters (it may crash after you type first of them), if it allows to type third letter (neither hangs nor crashes), click "Back" button (it may crash after clicking it), and click address bar, and type two letters (it may hang after typing them). If it still doesn't crash, click about:firstrun (it may crash after clicking it). Reproducible always, except safe mode.

All screenshots of this version of Fennec begin with 07_03_
After reboot of the whole operating system Fennec stopped using disabled theme; now it uses default theme.
How to crash instructions of Fennec 07 03 don't work in 07 06.

With Fennec 07 06, once it couldn't close completely (I tapped close button, window closed, but process didn't disappear, I had to kill it).

I attach two images about it.

Third image is about minor design flaw on "Index of folder" page.

And I start to use Fennec 07 13.
Fennec 07 13.
Delete Profile and Rename Profile can be done, but Create profile cannot. The situation with profile manager hasn't changed.

New Tab button can now be seen clearly! (along with disabled Sync button)

There are three exceptions in Error Console.
No, two exceptions: in sync and in blocklist.

Additional information. Right now N900 is in offline mode, offering no Internet at all. Fennec displays blank page for www.google.com. Then I close it; it doesn't complain about multiple tabs; it stays in background; I have to kill it.
I start Fennec again. Blank tabs again. But now clicking close button elicits no reaction from Fennec. It just ignores it. I have to kill it.
Third time. Blank tabs. Close button now asks about multiple tabs. Closes normally.

Extensions still cannot be installed by clicking on file.xpi.

Oh, and Index of folder is already fixed in 07 13! Thank you!

Exceptions in 07 13.
Attachment #457231 - Attachment description: 07_06_Exceptions_sync_and_blocklist → 07_13_Exceptions_sync_and_blocklist
Summary: Profile manager unusable; uncaught exception in sync; when clicking on .xpi, it doesn’t offer to install extension; “disabled” theme is used by Fennec as if it wasn’t disabled at all → Profile manager unusable (cannot create profile); uncaught exception in sync; when clicking on .xpi, it doesn’t offer to install extension
Thanks for the bug reports.

The add-on installation problem is bug 550936, now fixed.

I believe the profile manager bugs might have been fixed by bug 579178.

Closing this bug; please file *separate* bugs for any issues that are still reproducible. Bugs with many unrelated issues are not usable for us to assign work or track status.
