User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.2.6) Gecko/20100625 Firefox/3.6.6 ( .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET4.0C)
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.1.9) Gecko/20100630 Eudora/3.0.4

Eudora is configured to "open message in existing window". ctrl-w used to close this message window prior to RC1. Additionally the File->Close menu option (which lists ctrl-W as the keystroke) does not work.

It also does not close the window when configured to "a new message window". However the keystroke and menu close the tab when configured to "a new tab".

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. set tools>options>advanced>Reading&Display>"open messages in" to "an existing message window"
2. open a message from the inbox with ctrl-o or double click
3. close the window with crtl-w or file>close.
Actual Results:
The window does not close.

Expected Results:
Expect the window to close.

Not sure if it matters however I have "show messages in preview pane" turned off. I'm using the 3-pane UI style.

I see the same behavior on the Mac side. I have Eudora 1.0RC1 configured to "open message in a new message window". Command-W does not close the message window; selecting File->Close does work.
